Shri Jan Aushadhi Kendra is a government-authorized Jan Aushadhi Kendra operating under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), dedicated to providing quality generic medicines at affordable prices to the people of Kushinagar and surrounding areas.
Our Story
Located at Khasra No. 546, Maila, near Near P.N. Public Academy inKushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, our Jan Aushadhi Kendra was established with a simple yet powerful mission — to ensure that no citizen is deprived of essential medicines due to high costs.
As an authorized PMBJP Kendra, we source all our medicines directly from BPPI (Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India), a government undertaking under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. Every medicine we sell undergoes rigorous quality testing at NABL-accredited laboratories.
We believe that healthcare is a right, not a privilege. What is PMBJP?
Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana
The Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, launched in 2008 under the Department of Pharmaceuticals. The scheme aims to provide quality generic medicines at affordable prices to all citizens through dedicated outlets known as Jan Aushadhi Kendras.
BPPI (Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India) is the implementing agency. It procures generic medicines from WHO-GMP certified manufacturers and supplies them to Kendras across India. All medicines are tested at NABL-accredited laboratories before reaching patients.
The prices of Jan Aushadhi medicines are regulated by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) and are typically 50–90% lower than branded equivalents. Despite the low cost, every medicine contains the same active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) as its branded counterpart, ensuring identical therapeutic effect.
